- 42-45mm Objective Scopes: will almost always use MEDIUM rings, though some 45mm scopes may require HIGH
- 50mm Objective Scopes: will almost always use HIGH rings
- Some scopes with extremely heavy barrels, or barrels with thicker shank portions or heavier contours require rings a step higher than normal
